How should I approach this course?

This course is designed to help fathers develop key personal and leadership qualities using the F.A.T.H.E.R. framework. Each letter represents an essential trait that fathers embody, and by understanding these concepts, you will gain deeper insight into your role—not just as a father but as a man navigating family, social, and work life. While fatherhood remains the core focus, our lives are deeply intertwined with social structures and work commitments. Each section will provide real-life examples, strategies, and reflections that apply across all three areas—home, work, and social life.

How is the course structured?

The course runs for six weeks, covering two concepts per week. Each concept follows a structured approach, helping you build awareness, develop skills, and implement changes in a manageable way.

What does each section cover?

For every concept, you will explore some of or all of the following:

1. The Concept’s Background – Understanding what the trait means and why it matters in the context of fatherhood, work, and social interactions.
2. Key Components – Breaking down the core aspects of the concept to help you see how it plays out in real life.
3. Why It’s Important – Highlighting how this trait impacts relationships, decision-making, and overall well-being.
4. How You Can Implement It – Practical ways to apply the concept in daily life, with examples from home, work, and social settings.
5. The Impact of Developing This Trait – Exploring how mastering this quality strengthens your role as a father and benefits those around you.
6. Strategies for Mindfulness – Tips and techniques to ensure you remain aware and intentional about using this trait.
7. Activity for Reflection and Application – A guided exercise where you choose one area of life (home, work, or social) to reflect on and apply the concept. If time allows, you are encouraged to complete activities for all three areas.

How much time do I need to commit to the course?

To fully engage with the course, you should dedicate two hours per week to learning and reflection. Each week will consist of:

• 20 minutes of lesson content – This provides structured learning on the concept.
• 20 minutes of self-reflection – Journaling and personal analysis of how the concept applies to your life.
• 20 minutes of additional reading/resources – Suggested materials to deepen your understanding.

Since we cover two concepts per week, this equates to one hour per concept and ensures you can absorb, apply, and reflect on your learning in a meaningful way.
